A Smorgasbord Of Meats

Variety is the spice of life, as they say, and nowhere is variety more fun than in your diet. I know I like eating a wide variety of foods each week, which got me thinking that perhaps my dog might like a change in his food from time to time as well.

I always used to feed Bongo one flavor of dog food, but after I thought about giving him a variety, I found PurinaStore‘s Beneful. This dog food brand provides a smorgasbord of meats sure to entice any dog. They have dry and wet dog foods, as well as treats, with meat flavors like chicken, turkey, salmon and beef.

All of their dog foods also contain other healthy ingredients like veggies, fruit and whole grains. The extra ingredients add additional flavor and nutrients to the foods, giving your dog even more variety in his diet.

Since I switched him to Beneful food, Bongo has really liked the salmon and turkey foods the best, although he will eat any food from that brand.

The Originals dry dog food with salmon is his favorite food. This food will get him to come running from anywhere in the house. In fact, I’ve even used it to entice him back inside when I’ve inadvertently let him escape. The Originals salmon flavor is blended with sweet potatoes, carrots and green beans. I like knowing my dog is getting the nutritional benefits of those vegetables as well as the meat.

The Originals line also offers beef and chicken varieties. Bongo does like these too, though the salmon is his favorite in this range.

His second favorite food from Beneful is the Chopped Blends turkey flavor. This is a wet dog food that is designed with smaller dogs in mind, due to the small pieces of soft meat that are easier for small dogs to chew. However, it is fine for larger dogs to eat this food too, and Bongo loves the juicy blend of turkey in gravy accented with sweet potatoes, brown rice and spinach.

The Chopped Blends also come in chicken and beef varieties which, again, Bongo will eat, but the turkey is his favorite. All these products can be found on Wal-Mart groceries or local pet stores.
