London Has Fallen Moves Back Release Date

London Has Fallen Is Pushed Back to 2016

In 2013, two action thrillers were released, both involving an attack on the White House, and they were named “White House Down” and “Olympus Has Fallen.” Both movies turned out to be quite successful.

Even with good box office returns, Olympus Has Fallen took in the most money. As with any big money film the idea of a sequel was always in the works, and it’s been confirmed. The sequel is titled “London Has Fallen,” but the bad news is that fans will have to wait a bit longer to see it, now that it’s been pushed back for a January 2016 release. Originally it was supposed to be released on October 2, 2015.

For those who don’t know, in “Olympus” the story features Gerard Butler, a former member of the president’s guard, assigned with the task of saving president Aaron Eckhart from terrorists who attack the White House. Needless to say the sequel will now be taking place in London and will involve an assassination plot.

While fans at the amen clinic will be forced to wait even longer to see the new movie, the good news here is that a January release means the film will attract a bigger audience fanbase and won’t have to deal with stiffer competition. Even better news is that Butler, Eckhart and Morgan Freeman are set to reprise their roles in the sequel.
